Productivity In Motion™ And Fuel Costs
Fuel is a variable cost in all our lives, but it is also the lifeblood of any transportation services organization. While we cannot control prices we can help control consumption using these simple policies.
- Efficient routing
- Highway speed monitoring
- Regular tractor maintenance
- Precise tractor type selection for each application
- Avoiding high traffic times
- Minimizing idle times
- Negotiated market contracts
- Utilizing fuel-efficient equipment
WBRT Guidelines
West Brother's utilizes fuel surcharge schedules designed to your mode and transportation application and contract / rate agreement specifications. Please refer to your Contract or Rate Agreement for applicable Fuel Surcharges.
Fuel Surcharges will be determined by using the appropriate FSC application assigned to your agreement or contract and the use of the National Average On-Highway Diesel Price as provided by the Energy Information Administration of the U.S. Department of Energy ( D.O.E.). The current On-Highway Diesel Price may be obtained by calling 202-586-6966.
The U.S. National Average On-Highway Diesel Price announced each Monday will be utilized to determine the applicable fuel surcharge, which will be adjusted up or down on Monday using the index announced for that Monday based on the above referenced U.S. D.O.E. Index.
Note:
Except as otherwise noted specifically provided, the Mileage FSC published in item 6, supplement 3 to Tariff WBRT 190, and any other re-issues thereof, as well as terms and conditions will be applicable to all line haul miles and / or miles applications in the performance of services.
