West Brother's Transfer started by Floyd and Mary West as a single truck local package delivery business.
   

1974
Ownership acquired by Tommy and Craig West who still manage the firm today.
   

1980
Trailer rental and expanded Warehousing Divisions added.
   

1984
LTL Division added.
   

1994
Moving and Storage Company sold.
   

1997
Logistic Leasing Division added.
   

2001
LTL Division sold and company structure reformed into separate operating companies with dedicated presidents and management teams:

    Dedicated contract carriage.
  • West's Transportation Solutions, LLC
    National Transportation Brokerage Services.
  • West Logistics, Inc.
    Facility-based third party warehousing provider with over 1.8 million square feet and five locations.
  • West Brother's Transfer & Storage, Inc.
    Storage and Trailer rental services.
  • Logistic Leasing, LLC
    Full service truck leasing and contract truck maintenance services.
   

2006

  • Tractor fleet grows to 195.
  • Employees now total 450.
  • Major new clients announced.
  • New trailer graphics introduced to reflect Productivity In Motion™ culture.
  • Charlotte operations relocate to accommodate rapid expansion of business.
   

2007

  • Footprint expands with the opening of dedicated operations in Franklin, KY, Fort Dodge, IA and Sanford, NC.
  • West sweeps NCTA Regional Safety Awards with wins in top five categories.
   

2008

  • Fleet expands to over 300 power units and more than 500 trailers.
  • Further footprint expansion announced with new dedicated operations opening in Dalhart, TX, Cowpens, SC, Colonial Hts, VA.
  • Company Chairman, Tommy West elected Chairman of NCTA.
  • Further safety recognition with NCTA Annual Safety Awards.
